Check out popular spots like the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, and the scenic paths in South Mountain Park and Preserve. You can cool off with a refreshing dip in Lake Pleasant from the Anthem Trailhead or take in the breathtaking sight of Balanced Rock at sunrise on the trail from Scottsdale to Gateway, with the desert hues lighting up the sky.

Events and Programs
Throughout the year, we host various events and programs designed to engage the community and promote outdoor recreation, such as guided hikes and our annual Prickly Pedal Bike Race. This heart-pumping ride runs from Cave Creek to Peoria along the Maricopa Trail and ends with an after-party and beer garden at Lake Pleasant.
