The Maricopa Trail and Park Foundation’s many partners including communities, sponsors, agencies, organizations, and volunteers are foremost in our thoughts as we have and will continue to take steps in response to COVID-19 state and national health emergency guidelines.
To keep our friends and communities safe, we are following the recommendations of the CDC and practicing social distancing, and our organization will therefore be re-scheduling most of our trail maintenance stewardship work events and group activities until it is safe to do so.
The good news is that the 315-mile Maricopa Trail will remain open! There is no better time than now to get out to enjoy nature… hike, bike, run, ride horseback and enjoy the fresh air, gorgeous Sonoran Desert spring wildflowers and the amazing regional mountain and lake views!
Thank you for your understanding. Please remember, at this time, to send good health wishes to our many partners and join us in sending good will and the patience to adjust to these current challenges.
From the Maricopa Trail and Park Foundation’s Board of Directors to all of you, we wish you health and safety in the coming weeks.
Sincerely,
Brian Derrick
Board President
