GETTING THERE:

To start in Anthem from Phoenix, take I-17 North: Head north on Interstate 17 (I-17 N) from Phoenix. Then take exit 229 for Anthem Way. Turn Right onto Anthem Way into the town of Anthem. Drive straight through the town, past the shopping centers and residential areas. Turn Left onto Navigation Trail and follow to the trailhead parking area. 

To start at Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area from Phoenix, take I-17 North and exit at Carefree Highway (AZ-74) and head east. Turn Left onto Cave Creek Road and follow north towards the town of Cave Creek. Follow the signs for Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area and then turn left onto Spur Cross Road until you reach the entrance to the conservation area and park in the designated parking area.
